Feature Friday.

It's another Friday (I've been doing every other Friday) and it's time to feature another successful Scentsy Team member.

The following girl I have known my WHOLE life! It's my big sister Jenna O'Grady! 

This is her story:

Hello, I’m Jenna O’Grady Director of Team Sniff~a~licious! I currently live in Olympia WA with my husband and 2 daughters. My Scentsy story started just shy of 5 years ago….

My family was stationed in Hawaii and my sister had just started selling this new product, called Scentsy.  I wasn’t a huge candle fan so when she asked me to buy from her I told her “I’m just really not into candles.” She then asked me to join her team…..that certainly was NOT going to happen, ha! So about a month later she sent me a warmer and 3 bars for my birthday, along with 1 catalog so I could see it ALL. When I opened the box I thought wow this warmer is cute, and the smells…AMAZING!!! I quickly plugged it in and dropped a cube in.  About an hour later my doorbell rang, my neighbor wanted to know what that amazing smell coming from my house was.  In HI we always had our windows open and she could smell it in her house! She instantly wanted to order. In the next week everyone who came into our home wanted this product that I had fallen in LOVE with, in one week I had over $500 in sales! Wow if it’s that easy and the product is so awesome why am I giving these sales to my sister….yep we know what happened next I joined her team and became a Scentsy consultant!

Fast-forward 4 years I now have an AMAZING team of over 100 amazing ladies and gentlemen too, which I never would have imagined!  We continue to grow in business and friendships!

Being a military wife and a stay at home mommy, Scentsy has been the perfect fit for us! It’s given me the opportunity to meet new people, volunteer in my girls classrooms and I’m still able to chauffeur them to all their activities!  With no worries of punching any clocks or asking for time off! 

The income and opportunity is endless! The friendships are amazing! And the trips are phenomenal! Not only have I been able to earn fabulous trips (that I would never have been able to afford on my own), earn generous commission checks, etc. I have made so many wonderful, lifelong friends that I would have never met if it weren’t for Scentsy.  My family is so glad I found something that I love so much AND gives me plenty of time to spend with them!!!!  I am so blessed to have a job where every time I go to work - I end up at a party!!

I love that Jenna is on this crazy awesome Scentsy journey with me. We get to see more of each other because of all the events including FREE trips to the tropical beaches! I love you Jenna!!!!!

The first time I had heard/saw Scentsy was at an event that I was working at. (June 2010)  I went back to purchase a warmer and scents but they were already gone by the time I had finished work. My cousin had brought a catalog to a family function to show me and I was in shock because 4 months had gone by and I could not remember the name of the company and or how to get a hold of the women at the event.  I originally signed up to be a consultant for personal use only with no intentions of selling it.  My life was just too busy and I had no extra time for anything. When my starter kit arrived I was like a child on Christmas morning. I was so excited and fell in love with this amazing product. Well after a few weeks I decided to have a party and I was overwhelmed that people loved the product the same way I did.  My favorite thing about selling Scentsy is when people experience what I have experienced.  I have yet to meet a person that does not fall in love with Scentsy. My journey is still overwhelming. :)

Scentsy is the most amazing company that I have ever been a part of.  They are so good to us all.  I am overwhelmed with the incentive trips, awards, encouragement, summer incentives and everything that they do for us.  We are all so blessed to be a part of such an amazing company.  Scentsy kind of reminds me of Walt Disney World-they never miss a beat.  Most of all, the support is AMAZING!!!!

In August 2011 I had 8 awesome ladies on my team and I was overwhelmed with school, work, working out, life, etc and I almost quit.  I remember I thought I had come so far and to give up would just be crazy and not an option.  To date I have 120 AMAZING women in my group. Every time I tell this story I cry and I only cry because I am super proud of myself for not giving up and for "Shooting for the Moon" You  know that if you speak from your heart and believe in something, dreams can and will come true.  I have put nothing but my heart and soul into Scentsy and it is unbelievable what I have accomplished and the best part is that I feel like I am just getting started.

My life has changed in so many ways because of Scentsy.  I have met so many amazing people and have been so many amazing places. I have been able to travel more with family and friends.  I have been able to get my debt paid off and pay my mortgage off quicker.  Words cannot explain how blessed I feel because of this amazing family. I have always said to people that Scentsy is Life changing-PERIOD!!!

Thank you Lorie! We are so blessed to have you in our group! Joel said from the day we opened in Canada that it was going to be BIG! And he couldn't have been more right! You have taken your team and not only talked the talk - but you walk the walk and you share your heart! We love you and are so excited to keep cheering you on and watch you BLAST OFF! XOXO.

Feature Friday

I am starting a new weekly blog feature that will be showcasing my favorite success stories from OUR Scentsy Team!

Seriously, these stories are the reason I do what I do, why I want to share the opportunity, and seriously makes my heart so happy. 

Our very first consultant to feature is Michele Williamson from Missoula MT... And here is her story. 

My Scentsy Story & WHY I do what I do:

 I fell in love with Scentsy at a friends house who was having a basket party with the mini testers that her sister had shipped her from another state. I bought 1 warmer & 3 bars. I loved that I could put the warmer any where in my home feeling safe from fire dangers & from little fingers that were sure to check out the warmed wax.

The problem was I didn't know where to get more wax until I ran into a gal that had a booth at a local fair. I booked a party because who doesn't love to have their friends over, chit chat, eat, smell amazing scents & earn free & half price items. 

I was & still am, a stay at home mother of 2 beautiful boys, a wife of 19 years now, but I was after something more. 

I joined Scentsy in August 2011 to be Michele again, I love & cherish the roll of a mother & wife but I needed to find me as well. 

Scentsy has been my answer! I have gained so much more then I could have ever imagined just by taking a $99. starter kit & running with it. I have gained the confidence to step out of my comfort zone, to treasure the friendships that I have made with amazing everyday woman that also just needed a little bit more. Little did I know that a little bit more would let me travel & earn trips that I could have never imagined that we would be able to go on.

That the UPS truck would now be called the Scentsy truck as that is all my 4 year old knows that he brings. That I would find such joy in such a simple system, a smell to bring back a memory, & a passion for bringing the same joy to someone else. Sharing my story hopefully gives you too the chance to see me & to see that this journey truly can take you places, whether it be an earned trip, an old friends house to party with her while your at work or to feed your adiction for all things Scentsy.

Some days are better than others, and this was one of those days... Proverbs 16:20.

I've been waiting for a day like today for a long time.

One thing you should know about 'working from home' and 'direct sales' is that you are ALWAYS working. It's hard to shut off the brain about what to do next. It's hard when you hit a brick wall, flat in your face, quite often wondering "what in the world are you doing?" "what in the world should you do next?"  - I depend on The Lord during this times when I feel exhausted and don't know if I can do it anymore.... And then we have days like today - and you ALL make every moment of trying to figure out how to make this all work, how to plan it all to make it fit in the hours we have each day, how to remember why I work hard, and then harder, WORTH EVERY MINUTE!

Joel and I celebrated our 5 year Scentiversary (cute right?!) on June 30th so we planned a big open house, appreciation day, sale for our friends, neighbors, customers and hostesses. It was a HUGE success! We had such a blast celebrating our years and accomplishments with everyone that showed up today - and we couldn't have done it without everyone who has supported us throughout the years.

I loved every conversation today. I felt so blessed to get to know some of our neighbors even better (even some that had NO idea we sold Scentsy after living here for 2 years- epic fail on my behalf!)  We even had the opportunity to chat with 2 sweet ladies who are interested in changing their lives too! What a beautiful, blessed day.

Tonight we sat & relaxed outside on our UNfinished sitting area on our deck (UFO UFO!) with some very dear friends. It was the PERFECT ending to a blessed day.

Here Comes the BOOM!

Strong title huh?

Well, I didn't even know this was the title of a movie until Joel brought it home from RedBox the other night (yes we still have it... we are 'those' kind of RedBox users!)

I <3 Kevin James! King of Queens is one of my favorite, laugh til you cry, TV sitcoms. Mall Cop <--- LOVE segways! Grown Ups.... HILARIOUS! I'm looking forward to Grown Ups 2 coming soon.

Now, something you should maybe know about me... I don't sit and watch a whole lot of movies. Not without my phone anyway. I love to cruise Pinterest, and other home decor sites so I can gather decorating ideas for our home. (That's a whole other post - or ten - later because our home looks like we just moved in and it's been almost 2 years!)

But as I was surfin' Targets furniture sale via my iPhone (which there are a TON of super cute trendy pieces that I would love to have - and on clearance!), I actually put the electronic device down, and started laughing. This movie is so good. It has a great, feel good story line to it.  I highly recommend it.

Note: I am NOT into UFC, fighting or anything bloody. Just not my style I guess. But this movie was GREAT!

Now I feel like I'm Sisco & Ebert giving my "TWO THUMBS UP" when I should be calling for Mr. Sandman.

Tomorrow is going to be a fun day! The big girls and I set up the garage today to have a BIG HUGE APPRECIATE BLOW OUT PARTY Scentsy Family Style. We've pulled out ALL of our Scentsy, Velata & Grace Adele. Tonight we hung up signs all through town and tomorrow morning we'll put on the finishing touches. If you are around our area tomorrow from 10am - 3pm stop by! We'd love to see you! We'll have cool refreshing drinks all day long too :)

We've been working our Scentsy Family business for 5 years now and this is our way to say THANK YOU to our community, friends, family, customers and hostesses for helping us be successful.

Rejuvenated by Friends!

Today is the first day since going on my big trip with a 7 month old by myself... airplanes, airports, shuttles. Hotels, skywalk (SO CONFUSING!) and stadium seating.... that I have felt like I am feeling like MYSELF again!
Obviously that was hard work on this mama!

I am SO EXCITED when I look at the notes from Scentsy Family Reunion! It's finally all starting to soak in... so many amazing opportunities in our new future and fabulous new products - and even more to come!

I can't wait to share more with you... I've been busy working today and I'm still on a roll :) I don't even want to sleep tonight - but I know that if I don't sleep, I'll be excited like a..... I don't even know how to explain it because I'm not a spring chicken anymore. Anyway.... here are a few photos to show you just a sliver of why I'm excited! MY FRIENDS!!!!

These women are a few of my favorite people in the whole world! I only got to see a small fraction of the people I wanted to see in Indianapolis, and of those few - these are the only photos I have! I guess this is what happens when you have a baby connected to your boob the whole time! Ha! TMI? That's my life!

And this is why it has taken us so long to recover from our trip.....

 I love Scentsy because of the FAMILY I have gained! That's a whole new post for a new day.
