I have felt behind for the past few weeks and today, Joel helped me whip out many projects!
We sorted a Scentsy order first thing this morning.
We went to church and loved the message.
(Ok truth be told, it was shouting directly to my heart. You see, this morning, neither Joel nor I were any different in the way Adam & Eve blamed each other for their wrong doing. Yep, we were pretty immature and definite sinners this morning. We made up :) <---- real life marriage right there!
We delivered MANY orders this afternoon.
We quick grabbed some paint from Lowe's (Wet Pavement and Thistle Seed) and supplies so I could start 2 big projects in our home. Alyn's bedroom makeover (she's been waiting since her birthday in March... quite patiently I must add) & the Main Floor Makeover.
Then we hit our favorite... Target! We snagged up a comforter for her bedroom for $9.98! OOOooo WEEEeee What a Bargain! A new lamp, pillows and more accessories and she'll be good to go by the end of the week.
Do you know about Target Cartwheel App?!?! It's awesome... just sayin'
We got home, Joel made lunch and I picked up the house and got all the painting supplies ready. After lunch Alyn and I knocked out the paint job in her room! (it only took 1 hour so now I feel extra bad that I put it off for so long.) She thanked me so many times. She even said "Awesome! Now it won't feel like I'm sleeping in a dorm." HA! What does she know about dorms?!?
I packed up another Scentsy party ('tis the season for lots of parties!), while Joel and Arly cut down the grasses and tore out the flowers around our landscaping. We've already gotten our first frost and more to come soon so it all had to go! Highs this week - - 52 degrees! Time for cornstalks and mums! Or maybe snowmen soon?
Joel has almost finished all of the laundry. He even made a menu for us this week. Then he made dinner. MAN, I love that guy!
Avin has been a bit miserable all day. I think she's teething again. Which teeth come next? She has her 4 top and 4 bottom already. I spent a lot of my free time today snugglin' her on the couch. I cannot get enough of those blue eyes.
I finalized my 31 party with my friend Mel (I love supporting direct sales and other entrepreneurs!) and now I'm just finishing up with the lesson planning for this school week.
This mama totally had a treat.... or two.
Now off to finish my Sunday Seven and cozy up in bed.... with said awesome husband.
Nighties.
XO.

The time has come!
Tomorrow... Ummm today... Is the big day!
Please pray for us; for quick sleep, good coffee, nice weather & lots of buyers!
We'll be up in 5 short hours to set up and let go of the chains that have held me in bondage for a long time.
Stuff. Apparently I have an addictive personality and I really had to pray my way to letting go of it all.
I use to have an emotional attachment to every single thing that was under my roof. For the past 2 years I would donate pile by pile to Goodwill or Missoula 3:16.
But after taking photos of our home, room by room, when we were under evacuation notice, I really felt the urge that it was time to go through everything.... One by one.
I didn't want it to take me forever and I had already done the girls' closets, so we decided last week that the 7th would be the day. I spent quite a few hours marking and lots of time folding and stacking, but even more time praying.
I can honestly say that I am completely 100% ready to let go of it all.
Even little Freddie Mercury (our '56 Mercury teardrop)
I'm ready for Project: Main Floor Makeover to begin!
If you're local, come see us! Our casa from 830am-1230pm! Just follow the bright green signs :)
And please pray for a successful, happy sale!
XO

It ALWAYS Gets Worse Before It Gets Better
That's how I'm keeping myself sane for the rest of this week. Our mess is even messier.... For now.
Remember when I told you that I was going to be purging my home? Well, I have to have a goal in front of me if I'm going to accomplish something.
Today, Joel and I put an ad in the paper, on Craigslist and an event on Facebook sharing that we were going to have our big Spry Family Garage Sale this coming Saturday! You heard me right... in 3 days!!!!
I spent most of today marking the big girls' clothing and shoes (over 300 pieces!) and tonight I did the baby clothes (too many to count!)
I just got finished going through the shirts in my closet trying to decide what I was going to keep and what needed a new home. I just emptied 103 hangers... in shirts people! Where, when and HOW did I get so many shirts? (I've only been wearing a small handful for a while so it is definitely time to let some go)
I'm not big on organizing a garage sale.... but I am desperate to give our main level of our home a complete makeover. I'm using our 'extra' to help fund the makeover.... new furniture, paint, window coverings, rugs, decorations, etc. It's a good thing I know there is a light at the end of this tunnel otherwise I would have thrown in the towel earlier today when it felt like my back was going to break in half.
When we first moved into our home just over 2 years ago, I didn't know what we would do with the space. Our walls are off white, the trim and interior doors are white and we have mini blinds folks!
I knew I wanted a place where we would feel comfortable having people over. We prayed for this home so we could open it up and share the love of The Lord here... but it feels like we have failed to do that. I've been so shy about letting people into our home because it didn't feel cozy. (I'm really not that vain but I wanted a place that would scream comfort and the starkness in here just isn't cutting it)
My sweet friend Cameryn came over this morning and helped me with a game plan. I'm excited to share it with you when we start working on the projects.
But until then.... I'll be putting stickers on the hundreds of 'extras' that will be going out our door Saturday morning... NEVER to return!

Ready To Let It ALL Go
I can't stop thinking about Monday late afternoon. The blow up of the Lolo Creek Complex Fire had us all going around our homes gathering our valuables... The material items that really meant something to us. Little trinkets or items that hold a lot of dear memories to us. Items such as my wedding dress, our bibles, photo albums and finished scrapbooks of the girls, our external hard drive and computer that hold all of our files and photos. We loaded up our fire proof box that holds our important paperwork like birth certificates, passports, vehicle titles, taxes, and our marriage certificate. Joel grabbed the plaque of his Baseball Hall of Fame team photo, his guns and of course the 4 buckets of softballs! (Coach Joel ;) Alyn's important items were her bible, catchers gear, trophies and softball tournament shirts. Arly decided to grab her Avalanche uniform, bible, photos hanging in her room and her kindle.
If you've been following along, you know that we're packed and ready for evacuation.
In order to be completely ready before we left our home, we took photos of every room.
This what I saw.... And frankly, I've debated on whether or not I wanted to share. But I think it will embarrass me enough to do something about all the 'stuff' here.
To be completely honest with you, I had NO idea how bad things had really gotten as far as being so disorganized, until I took these photos. I knew it was time to start purging but I didn't realize I was this big of a hoarder.
And to think, I was willing and ready to walk away from it all. Still am.
Stuff.
We spend so much time thinking about organizing our stuff. Rearranging. Shuffling through the stuff. Stuff. Stuff that is just cluttering our lives. Stuff that you live with. Stuff that just takes over your peace. Stuff that keeps you from having people over. Stuff that makes you uncomfortable in your own home.
Stuff. And that's all it is.
You know what I really want to do? Take it all about 2 miles over the mountain and let it all burn.
But we know that's not a reality. But I'm done with it all. I'm going to attack the stuff that causes so much chaos in my life.
Consider these the before photos.
If you have tips or ideas that would help me, I would appreciate it so much.
I'm tired of living with the stuff.
I won't let the stuff decide how I feel or take up any place in my mind anymore. Stuff causes chaos and I'm over it.
It's going to be a HUGE job... But I'm up for the peace.
XO
Jari
Fire update:
Today was a calm day. Not much new here. Just more waiting. But even more praying. We are suppose to get a thunderstorm which means possible erratic winds, lightning but also RAIN! Pray for rain!
